Welcome to our Memorable Event Entertainment Blog!

Hello and thank you for visiting our entertainment agency blog and news page! This is where we will post about the fun events we send our entertainers to, where we will promote free family events you can attend (where we will be of course), where we update you about new services, new team-members and sometimes we just want to tell stories about fun gigs! But let’s start today by introducing you to how our company started back in 2011 from a college student finding her childhood love of art again through painting children faces and how the company grew into the agency it is today!

Memorable Event Entertainment was started by a professional face painter named Cynnamon in 2011, that started her face painting company because of her love of art and working with children! Below is how Cynnamon got into face painting and started one of the best entertainment agencies in the Inland Empire!

When I was a child, I loved drawing, sketching and doing calligraphy. I dreamt of being an artist someday, but one day a well-intentioned Aunt asked what I was going to be when I grew up, and I replied that I wanted to be an artist. Unfortunately, she hesitated with an unsatisfied face and then said, “but what are you going to do for a career, for money?” So I wrote off my dream of being an artist and started exploring other things like marine biology and dreaming about traveling the world as a flight attendant. My life didn’t end up going in those directions but I was always very interested in business. Years later, while I was in college for business, wondering what business I should start, I went to a family party for my cousin’s Fairy themed party. Previously, my Aunt had called me and asked if I would face paint the kids for her party. “What a great idea”, I thought! I had bought some cheap face paints and brushes from Michael’s and thought it would be a great way to keep myself busy and have some fun during the party. Little did I know, I was going to fall in love with the magic created by painting those adorable children at that party! There were only about 10 kids, but they were so eager and excited to be painted! An adorable blond hair, blue eyed girl was in line talking to herself about how she just KNEW I was going to make her a real life princess, and a little boy that transformed into a shark after I painted one on his cheek, chasing all of the other kids around the party. The party transformed along with the children, and when they would look at the mirror for the first time after I painted them, it was like time stood still and their joy exploded into the cutest smile of gratitude and excitement!

I left the party completely invigorated about how much fun I had just had! When I went home, I started searching other face painter’s work and realizing that face painting was not just cheek art anymore! Face painters had a way to transform people into all kinds of animals, characters and more! I really liked a technique I found online called the One-Stroke, where you load a one inch flat bursh with 3-4 colors from a pre-made palate, and then you paint with all of the colors at once! It is so much like coligarphy, which I was experinenced in when I was young! I watched some tutorial youtube channels almost ALL NIGHT, unable to sleep with my new found passion running through my heart and my blood! Lisa Joy Young was one of my favotire online teachers! That night I orderd a few of those one-stroke paints and a few brushes and when they arrived, I sat in the sink in front of the mirror and painted my own face, practicing one video tutorial after another. I couldn’t believe how good I already was by just watching the videos once and trying the design! I understood natually how to move the one-inch flat brush because of my experience with colligarphy, and I was blowing myself away. So not only had I discovered a love of art again, painting on the crevaces of the face was simple for me, and I realized how much I loved working with children and bringing joy to them, and they way they recipricated joy in ME! I FINALLY KNEW WHAT BUSINESS I WANTED TO START! And so I did! I started as a small face painting company called Face Painting by Cynnamon, and within 4 months I was so busy I was turning away clients because of my busy schedule on the weekends. That is when a young artist named Tess called me one day from a face painting add I was running in the Rancho Cucamonga Coupons Magazine to ask if she could learn from me and be my assistant. It was perfect! A huge lightbulb went above my head to start of team of face painters, train them, and send them in my place when I am unavailable. I also knew a large team of face painters, balloon artists and clowns that would meet every month at what was called a “face painting jam” in Montclair, Ca so little by little, I collected the best of the best and started working with them as an agency. Clients would call me when planning their child’s birthday party, their babyshowers, schools would contact me for school events, companies would concact me for their company picnics and would ask if I had any other services other than face painting, and little by litle I would connect the dots and grow my team of children and event entertainers covering all of the Inland Empire. I started expanding to Los Angeles, Orange County, the San Gabriel Valley, the High Desert and San Diego County!

It didn’t take long for Face Painting by Cynnamon to evolve into a full agency that I named Memorable Event Entertainment, where we make your events MEMORABLE! Because that is JUST what we do! Clients RAVE about how much fun their guests have at their parties and how talented the artists are that do face painting and balloon art. We were receiving new 5-star reviews every week! About 3 years into running as an agency, taking my own face painting gigs on the weekends and managing my team of other kinds of entertainment, I decided to move to the San Francisco Bay Area, following a love story that took my life in a new direction, and I started building my team there so I would have the ability to serve all of California. Our company in the SF Bay area is called Bay Area Party Entertainment and to this day, we are able to cover ALL of California! I keep the two websites separate for SEO and online marketing purposes but I live in limbo between both the Inland Empire and the SF Bay and take gigs in both areas when I can!
